Major Programs of ALS
Basic Literacy Program (BLP)
A program that aims to eradicate illiteracy among Out of
School Children (OSC), Out of School Youth (OSY) and adults by providing them
literacy skills in reading, writing & numeracy.
Accreditation and Equivalency Program
A program that provides an alternative pathway of learning
to Out of School Youth (OSY) & adults who are basically literate but who
have not completed the 10 years of Basic Education mandated by the
Constitution. Through his program, the drop-outs are able to finish their
education even outside the framework of the formal school system.
